Start, stop and restart (xREALM)

If your WARDOGS server is hosted on xREALM, TehkStore can start, stop and restart it from Server admin, even while the game server is offline. RCON can't do this, so it uses an API key from your xREALM account.

Make an API key

  • Log in to the xREALM panel and open your API page.
  • Create a key and give it a description like "TehkStore". Leave Allowed IPs empty.
  • Copy the key. xREALM only shows it once.

Good to know: an xREALM API key can do anything your xREALM account can. TehkStore only uses it to read your server's state and to start, stop and restart it, and stores it encrypted. You can revoke it on xREALM's API page at any time.

Add it to TehkStore

  • Open Servers and find your server's xREALM panel section.
  • Paste the key into xREALM panel API key and press Check key.
  • Pick the matching server from the list and press Save key.

Using it

Each server's card in Server admin gets a Power section:

  • Start, when the server is offline.
  • Stop and Restart now, when it's running. Both ask you to confirm.
  • Restart after this match, which waits for the current round to finish. Cancel restart calls it off.

WARDOGS needs about two minutes to release a server's session, so a restart or a start straight after a stop takes a couple of minutes. xREALM handles that wait for you.

If xREALM ever refuses the key, TehkStore stops using it and asks you to paste a new one.
