Publishing your store

Until you publish, your store lives at a temporary address and visitors see "This store isn't open yet. Check back soon." You can still look at it yourself with Preview.

Before you publish

• Connect Stripe. The publish button reads Connect a payment account to publish until you do.
• Add at least one published package. See Creating packages.
• Connect your server and test a purchase. See Minecraft or WARDOGS.
• Set up your pages and appearance.

Publishing

• On Overview, press Publish store in the banner.
• Check your Store name and choose your Web address. It will be `yourname.tehkstore.com`, and the dialog tells you straight away if the name is taken.
• Press Publish.

Your web address can't be changed after publishing, so choose carefully.

Using your own domain

You can serve your store from your own domain, such as `shop.yourserver.net`.

• Open Settings and find Custom domain.
• Enter the domain and press Add domain.
• Add both DNS records the page shows you (one of them is a TXT record) at your domain provider.
• Press Check now. DNS changes can take a while to spread, so try again later if it isn't ready yet.

For a root domain (`yourserver.net` with nothing in front), your DNS provider must support ALIAS or ANAME records. Once your domain is live, the tehkstore.com address forwards to it. Remove switches back.
