Privacy Policy

If you run a store, we decide how your information is handled, and this policy is our answer to you.

If you bought something from a store, the store owner decides how your information is handled, and we act on their instructions. Ask them to see or delete your information, not us — they are the one who can answer, and we will help them do it.

From store owners: name, email address, how you sign in, and your store’s details.

Also from store owners: whether your subscription is paid, and the identifiers Stripe gives us for it. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach us.

From players who buy: the Minecraft username you enter, the account identifier it resolves to, and the email address you give for your receipt.

Also from players who sign in to see their orders or gift cards: your email address, when you first signed in, and when you last did. That record is ours, not the store’s: it is the same one wherever you sign in, and it never holds what you bought or from which store. You can delete it yourself, from the account page of any store you have signed in to, and doing so does not delete your orders — they stay with the store as its receipts.

From everyone: the records that keep you signed in, and the IP address a request came from, which we use to stop sign-in pages being attacked.

• Stripe, to take payments and to bill store owners.
• Mojang, when we turn a Minecraft username into an account identifier.
• Our email provider, to send receipts and account emails.
• Our hosting and database providers, who store it.
• Anyone we have to tell by law.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

TehkStore is for people running Minecraft servers, and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from a child under 13.

Stores built on TehkStore may have younger customers. A store owner is responsible for their own customers’ information, including any consent the law requires.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child’s information has reached us, write to brendan@tehkllc.com and we will delete it.

• Orders and payment references: at least seven years. They are the buyer’s receipt and our tax record, and disputes about a payment can arrive months after it.
• Records of administrative action — a suspension, a ban — indefinitely, so that closing an account is not a way to start again unrecognised.
• Account and store records: until you delete them.
• Sign-in records: until they expire or you sign out.
• The player sign-in record described in Clause 2: until you delete it.

Deleting your account removes it, your sign-in details and your connected accounts. Some things deliberately survive, and you should know which:

• Records of payments stay with Stripe, under their own terms.
• Orders your store took stay with the store, because they are your buyers’ receipts and hold their details rather than yours.
• If we ever suspended or banned you, that record keeps your email address, for the reason above.

You can see and correct most of your information from your dashboard, and delete your account from your settings. For anything else, write to brendan@tehkllc.com.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your information — to a copy of it, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to some uses. Ask us and we will do what the law requires. If you bought from a store, ask that store: they decide, and we follow their instruction. The one exception is the sign-in record itself — delete that yourself, from the account page of any store you have signed in to. Everything else about what you bought is the store’s to answer.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell store owners by email before it takes effect. The version at the top tells you which one you are reading.
